Good product but does not fit so well on carbon rails
I've used this type of mudguard in the past, have no complaints & been very satisfied with it. I decided to get a new one for the coming season (having used conventional mudguards over the winter) but now have a new saddle & found, unfortunately, that the ‘cut-outs’ do not fit as well on the more oval shaped carbon rails. I should be able to secure it with the supplied cable tie but the fit is not ideal.
Was intrigued by the fold away under the saddle option to what looked like a standard “*** saver” type mudguard. Not sure if it’s my saddle rails/seat pin but I struggled to get this to fit without folding the front section. It doesn’t feel as secure as other similar ones I own and once it was fitted I wasn’t able to remove it easily yet it still had some lateral movement. This means the foldaway option hasn’t been utilised at all however in practice these issues aren’t noticeable & it does its job, looks good and was a good price as most things are from Velochampion. I might try it on a different saddle set up to see if it was just this bike that wasn’t fully compatible
